Station Installation Procedure
Each station has a sensor vault that is approximately 1 meter deep and a corresponding recorder/battery hole.

Sensor tube

The sensor vault is brick-lined and has a 6-inch pier at the bottom to set the sensor on. Once the sensor is installed, it is surrounded by a PCB tube. The pier and the tube help to keep the rain (monsoon) water away from the sensor.

| A styrofoam block is then used to plug the sensor hole to thermally isolate the seismometer.

Breakout box |
|
The recorder hole contains the battery, Reftek recorder, and the breakout box for the sensor. The sensor is connected via an underground conduit.

| The majority of the sites are in schools that are behind gates.
