Plate Tectonics

Introduction

Plate Tectonics is the motion of the sections of crust (plates) that cover the Earth's surface like a jigsaw puzzle. The general public tends to be aware of where theses plates meet, called faults, as the motion of the plates along fault lines is what causes earthquakes.
